    Short Answer

A guided ski week in Chile costs about USD 4,200 to 6,100 per person for the trip itself, and roughly USD 6,000 to 9,000 all-in once you add flights from the US, lift tickets, rentals and insurance. The biggest swings come from your flight, the resorts you ski and whether lift tickets are bundled in.

Below is the full breakdown, using our own 2027 trips as the example, so you can see exactly where the money goes.

The short answer: an all-in budget

What lift tickets cost in Chile

Daily adult tickets at the main Chilean resorts ran roughly USD 55 to 105 in 2026, depending on the resort and the time of season. Valle Nevado and La Parva sit at the top of that range. El Colorado, Nevados de Chillán and Corralco are a bit lower, and Portillo is one of the best values in the country. Resorts announce 2027 prices before the season, so check their sites closer to your trip.

High season in Chile runs from July to mid-August, plus weekends and local holidays. Outside those dates, some resorts drop their prices.

We leave lift tickets out of the trip price on purpose: many of our guests ski backcountry days or mix touring with resort laps, so a bundled ticket for every day would mean paying for passes you never use. Your guide handles the logistics at each resort.

What drives the price up or down

    • Season. July and early August are peak demand, with Chilean school winter holidays, usually in July. September is quieter, with longer days and spring snow.
    • Room type. Our prices assume a shared double room. A private room costs more.
    • Guide ratio. Smaller groups cost more per person. We cap most groups at 4 guests per guide.
    • Resort vs backcountry. Backcountry trips skip lift tickets but need touring gear (rental available with advance notice).
    • Region. Trips that combine two regions, like Santiago and Chillán, add a domestic flight or a long road day.

Is a guided trip worth it compared to doing it yourself?

If you only want groomers at one resort, you can book a hotel in Farellones and a lift pass on your own. A guide earns their fee when you want off-piste and sidecountry terrain, conditions that change by the hour, or more than one region in a week. In the Andes, the terrain is big, avalanche forecasting is limited compared to North America, and the best snow moves around. Knowing where it is on a given day is most of the value.

If you want something in between, a single-day ski guide runs USD 250 to 550 per person depending on group size.

    How far ahead to book

Most of our guests book two to three months before they travel, but small-group departures fill first in July and August. Our 2027 dates and prices are published now, and the earlier you book, the more choice you have on dates and rooms.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Are lift tickets included in Esnativa trips?
No. Daily lift tickets are purchased separately, and your guide helps with the logistics at each resort. Backcountry days don't need a ticket.
Is skiing in Chile cheaper than in the US?
Daily lift tickets in Chile are generally lower than at major US resorts. Flights are the biggest extra cost for North American skiers.
    Is September cheaper than July?
Some resorts lower their ticket prices outside high season, and September has fewer crowds. Snow is usually still good, especially at higher elevations and on the volcanoes.
What is not included in the trip price?
International flights, lift tickets, equipment rental, travel insurance and some meals. Each trip page lists exactly what is and isn't included.
How much should I budget per day for extras?
Plan around USD 35 for dinner on nights that aren't included, plus lift tickets and rental if you need them.
