Explore Hokkaido with Esnativa and our local guide, Akihiro, combining resort skiing, backcountry touring and a taste of everyday life in Japan. Based around Otaru and Asahikawa, our trips bring together different mountain areas, local food and the places Akihiro knows best.
We mix lift-accessed ski days with touring outings, adapting each day to the snow, weather and group’s experience. Some days focus on resort laps; others take us into the backcountry to explore quieter terrain and Akihiro’s favourite spots. His local knowledge helps shape where we go and when, making the most of the conditions throughout the trip.
Off the mountain, discovering Hokkaido continues through neighbourhood restaurants, regional dishes and time exploring Otaru and Asahikawa. Food and local culture are part of the experience, alongside the skiing.
