Level & Terrain

Intermediate to advanced. Baguales is a fantastic fit for strong intermediates stepping into premium off-piste terrain, and for advanced riders chasing steeper lines and bigger objectives. Guides adapt the day to group level and conditions, with options ranging from open powder bowls and playful features to more technical terrain. Depending on weather and group interest, it’s also possible to add short touring approaches from the cat zone or lodge-based backcountry laps.

The Lodge

The Baguales lodge sits halfway up the mountain at 1,600 meters / 5,250 ft, offering a true mid-mountain base with quick access to terrain and a classic Patagonia atmosphere. Evenings are built for recovery: chef-prepared dinners, included drinks, and hot tub sessions with wide-open views.

Access & Operations

Reaching the lodge is part of the adventure. Access is handled in stages depending on snow conditions, including a 4x4 approach and, when required, a tracked vehicle for the final section into the mid-mountain lodge. Once in, the operation runs smoothly with daily planning led by the guide team and snowcat drivers.

Exact access logistics may vary by weather and snowpack.

Guiding & Safety

All skiing and route selection are led by certified professional mountain guides with local Patagonia knowledge. Terrain choices are adjusted daily based on weather, visibility, and snow stability to maximize both quality and safety. Avalanche safety equipment is provided and reviewed upon arrival.

Do you provide avalanche safety gear?

Yes—Esnativa provides a complete kit including beacon, shovel, probe, and an airbag backpack, and we run a full briefing and gear check upon arrival.

Can I rent skis or a snowboard?

Yes—ski and snowboard rentals are available as an add-on. Let us know your size and preferred setup and we’ll arrange it.

How do we get to the lodge?
