Day 1 – Arrival in Bariloche & Transfer to Baguales
Upon arrival at Bariloche Airport (BRC), guests are transferred to Baguales Mountain Reserve. The drive into the Patagonian steppe and Andes foothills already sets the tone for the experience: remote, dramatic, and wild. After check-in at the lodge, there is a safety briefing and avalanche gear review with the guides, followed by a relaxed welcome dinner featuring local Patagonian cuisine and wines.
Day 2 – First Full Cat Skiing Day
After breakfast at the lodge, the snowcat accesses multiple alpine zones within the reserve. The day focuses on maximizing vertical and adapting terrain selection to snow conditions and group ability. Expect a mix of open powder fields, rolling terrain, and steeper options for advanced skiers. A mountain picnic lunch is served in the field before continuing the afternoon session. The day ends back at the lodge with après ski, sauna time, and a hearty dinner.
Day 3 – Second Full Cat Skiing Day
Another full day exploring new aspects of the reserve, often reaching different bowls and ridgelines depending on weather and snow quality. With no lift lines and a flexible plan, guides choose the best snow available, typically 3,000–4,500 vertical meters per day, conditions permitting. Evening at the lodge with dinner, drinks and the hot tub.
